Incredible $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Is a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

Following a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

A regional fantasy map created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Full Package

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmic Mapping System
  • Perspectives 3
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans

  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Tome of Ultimate Mapping
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options is toward the top of the page, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
